Karlie is having so much fun exploring,
now that she walk quite well. She is still concentrating on
getting to her destination, so she's not getting into everything...yet.
She doesn't have a very big vocabulary, but seems to understand what she says.
We enjoy hearing her baby talk.
KARLIE'S BIRTHDAY PARTY
Karlie had a lot of fun at her party...surrounded by family and a few close friends. Because we had heard so many terrible stories about first birthday parties, we found ourselves anticipating the worse -- a grouchy girl, or one that slept through the entire event. But, instead, she enjoyed all the attention and was very happy. Plus, we enjoyed ourselves, particularly since it was the first sunny Saturday we had in a month. Karlie loved her cake -- we had to take it away from her because we feared she would get sick. She was very dainty with it, but still managed to get it all over herself, as you can see in the picture above.
