A Night Shot...
We
live in the suburbs of Los Angeles in the City of Whittier, which is about 15
minutes north of Anaheim (the home of Disneyland).
We purchased our home in December of 1998. It's approximately 35 years old and
is located on a quiet cul-de-sac, very close to both our jobs. It has three
bedrooms, a den, living room with a fireplace, and two bathrooms.
We've
had a lot of fun fixing up the interior, including installing carpet, a French
door entry into the den, chair rails, wallpaper, and re-painting. We've
spent the last year updating the exterior, including a new roof, paint, porch,
river rock, and some plants. The house used to have a wood shingle roof
with dated paint in the colors of crème and dark brown. Now, our house
looks more modern with a composite roof and colors of light green and
white. We still have more landscaping to do, but we're pleased with
our progress so far.
Here's
our backyard. We finished the patio cover in August of 1999. A fire
ring is also planned. Stop by some time and we'll have a BBQ and go for a swim!
