Karlie "driving" our friend Randy's sand rail

On this trip to the dunes, we camped with a group of people John met through work.  The weather was pretty cool and very windy, but we still had a lot of fun.  Of course, the day we packed up to leave, the weather was beautiful.  There were only a handful of people there, so the sand was smooth and perfect for riding.  (We figure the Thanksgiving crowd the weekend before had something to do with it.)

Randy's sand car (above) will seat 5 people, so April and Karlie got to go for a ride, too. (April's first trek through the dunes!)  Karlie was a little scared at first, but slept on the way back to camp, so the ride couldn't have been too bad!

Karlie strapped in and ready to fly -- what a sight she was!
