On the first weekend of the new year (or new millennium, for that matter), we camped at Sunset Vista Campground in Huntington Beach, California. While this campground is really just a glorified parking lot for RVs, it offered wonderful views of the beach and located close to bike trails, restaurants, ice cream shops, and Huntington Pier. The view from the "livingroom" of our trailer was the beautiful ocean. We had a fabulous time riding bikes, building sandcastles, and taking walks to the Pier. While it was technically "winter," the temperature reached almost 80 degrees! (Just one of the many things we love about Southern California!) We empathize for those on the East Coast!
