We spent a week here in Mammoth Mountain, CA. It was so fun - we rode our mountain bikes, hiked in the forest, and sometimes we even had time to do nothing but relax.
The bike trails were great - they had small network of paved trails that meandered through the forest, and out into a huge open valley just on the edge of town. We pulled Karlie behind us in her new trailer. It was so relaxing (for Karlie!), that she even napped during one of our rides. We, on the other hand managed to get a decent workout due to a couple hills along the route.
One of our day trips was a two and a half mile hike to Rainbow Falls. John carried Karlie in her backpack, so we didn't need a push a stroller down the dirt trails. The falls were absolutely beautiful, so it was well worth the effort.
