THE CEREMONY
Our ceremony was held late Saturday morning, August 28th, 1999, at La Mirada Creek Park, which is located about one mile from our house.  We exchanged our wedding vows under a beautiful willow tree with our immediate family and a few close friends ~  about 25 guests were present.

THE RECEPTION
We decided to stick with our simple theme and had the reception in our backyard around the pool.  We feasted on sandwiches, salads, and, of course, wedding cake.  Our wedding attire lasted about 10 minutes after we arrived at the house, since it was a very warm day.  (Of course, one of the warmest this summer!)  We changed into comfortable, cool clothes and had a wonderful time.

THE HONEYMOON
Around 6:00 in the evening, the two of us drove up to Lake Arrowhead for our two-day honeymoon at a beautiful Bed & Breakfast named Château du Lac.  (We highly recommend the "Lakeview Room.")  April's mom and dad (Pat and Dale Hutchison) watched Karlie while we enjoyed our romantic weekend together.  Lake Arrowhead is about an hour and a half drive from Whittier, so we arrived before darkness set in.  During our visit, we dined at a couple lovely restaurants, drove around the lake, took several walks, and even caught a movie.  It was wonderful and memorable.
